Tabon Cave
Dr. Robert Fox, an archeologist, made an excavation in the Tabon Cave. Tabon Cave was found in the island of Palawan. Dr. Fox found out that the first human had lived in this cave. The Cave was named after the bird called "Tabon" which lives in there. The humans who had lived in this cave were called "Tabon Man".
They had found different tools in the cave such as the "Adze" and the "Chert". Some of the tools found inside the cave were made out of stones and shells. They also found remains of humans which were put inside the jars. Those jars are also found in the cave. One famous jar which was found in the cave is the " Manunggul Jar". The "Manunggul Jar" has a figure of two person riding in a boat. This figure symbolizes the early Filipinos belief in "Life after death".
Aside from different tools and Jars, Dr. Robert Fox saw teeth of the "Tabon Man". From these teeth, Dr. Fox could trace how the "Tabon Man" had live their lives. They also found remains of unknown animals inside the cave.
