The Katipunan
When Andres Bonifacio heard the news of Rizal’s exile to Dapitan, he says to himself that it is the time to have revenge. They founded a secret revolutionary society for Filipinos to fight for freedom. Its full name was Kataas-taasang Kagalang- galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (High and Most Respectable Society of the Sons of the People). It was called K.K.K. for short.
The aims of the Katipunan were as follow:
♦Unite the Filipinos into one Nation
♦To fight for the independence of the Philippines
Aside from this aim, There many Moral virtues and Values that the group wants to teach like cleanliness, loyalty, fairness, unity and other things based in the "Kartilla". Kartilla is a guide book for new members which show the group's Rules and Regulation.
The katipunan ended when Andres Bonifacio died. He was shot by the Aguinaldo's soldiers under the command of Lazaro Makapagal.
